After two intense days with the best surf in the world,
tomorrow will dispute the final stages of the Rip Curl Pro Junior Series in San
Bartolo Beach, approximately 50 km from the south of Lima, Peru. At nine
o'clock in the morning will begin the last day with the respective series of
round three female. Then will run the semifinals and finals of both divisions.
The award ceremony has been set at 13.15 hours.
WOMEN: TIME OF DEFINITIONS
At eight o'clock today started the series of the
ladies category of the Rip Curl Pro Junior Series San Bartolo, the fourth date
of the Tour 2015 of World Surfing League (WSL). Waves of 1.2 meters, temperature
of 26°C, winds of 14 kilometers per hour, 66% humidity and cloudless sky were
sufficient reasons to start the second day of the event.
However, after some minutes and during the development
of the initial women’s round a dense fog invaded North Beach making a difficult
work for the judges, who were observing the maneuvers of the participants of
World Cup. This unexpected invasion of mist disappears without notice as magic,
leaving the sky with a blue high color and a good future for the rest of the
day.
The sirens of South Africa, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil,
Chile, Colombia and Peru were in search of good results to race in the event.
After the two phases before noon have remained in competition, four Peruvian,
two Argentines, a Chilean and a Brazilian, who will enter into the water on
Saturday at 9 am.
The four keys are distributed in the following way:
1.- Lucia Cosoleto (Arg) vs. Josefina
Ane (Arg).
2.- Paula Atucha (Per) vs. Lorena Fica
(Col).
3. - Miluska Tello (Per) vs. Luara Thompson (Bra).
4. - Vania Torres (Per) vs. Melanie Giunta (Per).
MEN: BRAZIL 3 PERU 1
After the entry of girls in North Beach of San
Bartolo, the shift was for men, who on Thursday closed their participation in
round two. For the phase three had been distributed in four series, each of four
surfers. In series one Samuel Camargo and Deivid Silva from Brazil eliminated
the Peruvian Lucca Saldivar and the Ecuadorian Aurelio Prieto. In the two the
Brazilian Alcides Neto and Lucas Silveira made the same with his fellow Theo
Fresia and the local Tomas Tudela.
In the three, Inca’s fan cheered his promising young
star Sebastian Correa, who not only spent first on his heat. He amassed the
highest score of the pro junior with 17.25, thanks to two waves of 8.25 and
9.00 points respectively. His brother Alonso escorted him with 13.65 getting
the one-two punch for the family. They got out of the car to the Peruvian
Joaquin Del Castillo and the Brazilian Nathan Kawani. In the four classified
the favorite Juninho Urcia (Per) and Luan Wood (Bra).
Past noon in the quarterfinals men Samuel Camargo
defeated Lucas Silveira, Deivid Silva to Alcides Neto, Luan Wood to Sebastian
Correa and Juninho Urcia to Alonso Correa. Samuel Camargo scored the best wave
in this instance. After these results the semifinals has been constituted by
the following two keys:
1.- Samuel Camargo (Bra) vs. Deivid
Silva (Bra).
2. - Juninho Urcia (Per) vs. Luan Wood (Bra).
